Camp de Rêves has five safari tents which are spacious, chic and rustic with large windows at the front to provide lots of light. All the tents benefit from excellent sea and rural views. Each can sleep six adults and is comprised of a double four poster bed, a separate bunk bedroom and a double cabin bed (which is accessed by a short ladder and has quaint wooden shutters for privacy). Each bedroom can be made private by pulling a large curtain across and has fairy lights or lamps to make it extra cosy. The tents also have a bathroom with shower, kitchen (two-ring hob, combi-micro oven and large fridge with freezer), lounge and dining area. Outside, there is a spacious terrace that provides an extra lounging or dining area, plus a barbecue and private garden area.
The three luxurious handmade shepherd huts nestle within the pine trees on the lower field, which is an adult only area. The huts have a panoramic views from Rocquaine Bay to Lihou Island and are perfectly placed to watch the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. Inside, there is an extremely comfortable double bed with a large window at its foot from which you can watch wildlife in the field and look down to the ocean. Each hut has a bathroom with shower, kitchen with oven, two-ring hob and fridge/freezer, sofa and dining area as well as a log burner and radiator. Outside is a private deck with picnic table and barbecue. Maximum occupancy is two adults.
The site’s outdoor communal area has a pizza oven, fire pit, petanque pitch and large children’s play area which all makes for a perfect family getaway. There is also a large oak frame barn on site for indoor games and gatherings, as well as a small shop selling a few basic items.
A commitment to sustainability extends to every aspect of the glampsite, with priority placed on responsible daily operations to reduce impact on the environment. Muted colours and natural materials have been across the site where possible, renewable energy is generated through solar panels, tents and huts feature sustainable wood, all green waste is composted and, to enhance ecological diversity, indigenous plants have been carefully selected and sympathetically managed to create a thriving wildlife.
