With its beautiful cliff top position in the unspoilt Fermain Valley, this gorgeous hotel sits along a quiet leafy lane and has stunning views over neighbouring islands and a tranquil bay. St Peter Port is a five minute drive away and the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service for which booking is recommended. If you’re making your own way around the island, there is lots of free parking at the hotel. (Read more)
A haven of luxury and comfort, the hotel’s guest rooms, dining venues and leisure facilities are spread over two separate and unique buildings within the attractive landscaped gardens: The Venue, which is the newest part of the hotel and a vigorous short walk from the main hotel with 13 bedrooms, and the main hotel building which was a former Manor House and offers 32 bedrooms.
The indoor swimming pool and sauna area is a great place to shelter in the warm and, when the weather is nice, terrace doors are opened so you can take in the valley views as you swim. The Tree House Spa is a restful retreat where you can escape for some all-important pampering and me-time. Equally calming is the hotel lounge, where you may wish to spend time with family or friends, be at one with yourself over a good book, or relax over a cuppa.
As far as food and drink are concerned, the Fermain Valley has lots to shout about, with three superb restaurants and a chic tea room. At Ocean Greek Eats, the menu is Greek inspired, truly delicious and authentic with something for everyone to tuck into, plus the option to dine alfresco to make the most of the sunshine. Indulgent cocktails and incredible steak are the stars of the Rock Garden Steakhouse, which is a fabulous place for a great night out over quality food and drinks all amid unique décor. If vibrant Mexican cuisine is more your style, you’ll love Buho, where Latin cuisine is the order of the day along with cocktails and spectacular views. We shouldn’t forget that mid-afternoon indulgences are also catered for at the Valley Tea Rooms. After you’ve wined and dined, the hotel has its own private cinema with just 27 seats where you can sink into huge leather chairs for a luxury movie experience.
All 45 rooms are individually designed to create an air of calm, allowing you to completely unwind. Venue silver and Venue gold rooms sit above the Venue Conference Centre and Mexican restaurant, so you can expect to hear music played late into the night on some evenings. These rooms are comfortable and stylish with an ensuite bathroom, satellite television, tea & coffee making facilities, bathrobes, hairdryer, safe, complimentary WiFi and 24 hour room service. This building does not have lift access.
Silver rooms, in the main hotel building, are large enough to accommodate a sofa bed, gold rooms boast wonderful views from the private balcony, while platinum rooms are spacious and all have prime views over the valley toward the sea, although not all have a balcony. In addition to the 45 bedrooms, there are also four stunning Tree House rooms, which possess a truly magical setting within the valley. Contemporarily styled, they each have their own outside space overlooking the gardens and are reserved for adults only.
