As the name suggests there is a nautical theme. Outside, balconies of curved glass resemble waves breaking across the façade, while inside you’ll spy fixtures and fittings of top quality wood and chrome along with large chandeliers of blown glass.

The award-winning Spa Sirene is your go-to place for top-to-toe pampering and a truly indulgent experience. Facilities include a heated vitality pool, Swedish sauna, aromatherapy steam room, salt steam therapy and experience showers. There’s also a fully equipped gym for those with energy to burn, and if that sounds too much like hard work, there’s a luxury jacuzzi with hydrotherapy or a tranquil rest room with thermal couches. Spa facilities are only available to hotel guests aged 16 years or over, however, free passes to Aquasplash are provided, a pool and waterslide centre just five minutes walk away.

Locally popular and full of island flavour, the hotel’s selection of restaurants cater for all tastes. Café Zephyr has a large alfresco area, which is a prime people-watching spot, and serves up an inventive breakfast menu as well as lunch, dinner and cocktails. On the first floor, the sophisticated Sirocco restaurant has glass doors leading to a terrace overlooking the glittering marina and beyond. There’s also a direct view of the chefs preparing the delectable dishes which combine local produce with key ingredients from Australasia. Within the timeless environs of The Grill restaurant, feast on char-grilled dishes cooked to perfection or, for something more casual, try the Grill Lounge & Bar, where you can also sip a classic cocktail or two.

Additional venues at the hotel include P.O.S.H, an intimate champagne bar with an alfresco area serving a lush selection of drinks and nibbles; The Cabin, which has a classic and old-fashioned feel, with dark mahogany, rich textures and intimate lighting creating a cosy atmosphere; Lazyjack is exclusively for residents with lots of comfy seating and is a place to simply relax while at the vibrant Drift bar, the emphasis is on unwinding, socialising, watching live entertainment, grabbing some delicious food, or dancing the night away.

Guest rooms are all decorated and finished to a high standard with a warm modern style and facilities. Silver plus double or twin rooms, with atrium or street views, are the lead-in category and provide either a king bed or two single beds, bath and separate shower (in most rooms), air-conditioning, television, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities, bathrobes, slippers, mini bar, safe, 24 hour room service, free WiFi and either internal or street views. Larger gold double or twin rooms have atrium views, gold deluxe rooms also feature a terrace, while platinum rooms provide a comfortable seating area and a balcony with views across St Helier harbour and the Weighbridge Park. For those travelling solo, silver double rooms are ideal. Located in the original hotel building and only accessible by stairs, these rooms offer street or internal views.
