St Ouen’s Bay stretches for five miles of unspoiled sand, refreshed twice daily by the tides.
The expansive beach is popular for sport enthusiasts, particularly windsurfers due to its strong currents. Exciting activities including surfing, paragliding, blokarting and much more. Surf schools are scattered along the beach, including one of the oldest surfing clubs in Europe, so anyone can try their hand at riding the waves, even if it’s only on a bodyboard!
Beach BBQ places are common in St Ouen’s bay - enjoy a summer’s evening on the amber sands near the sun-washed shoreline. Popular beachside cafes such as El Tico, Le Braye Café and Sands overlook the sea, ready to provide tasty replenishments, for your day in the sun.
St Ouen’s Bay is one of Jersey’s top spots for hiking. It’s part of the Jersey Tidal Trail which enters St Ouen’s from the south-east, walking past dunes, scenic cliff views of the ocean and La Rocco Tower in the distance.
