Outdoor Activities in Jersey

You're truly spoilt for choice when it comes to ways in which to explore the great outdoors in Jersey. Dive into clear blue waters and surf, hire an SUP or kayak and paddle your way around Jersey’s coastline. Stay on dry land and stroll through stunning scenery, play a round of golf or take to two wheels and explore the island by bike.

St Catherine's Woods

Meander along wooded paths, and leafy enclaves as you explore this lovely circular route. Jump on a makeshift swing and enjoy kicking leaves, roaming through trees, splashing in streams and hopping across stepping stones. Keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels too.

Jersey Lavender farm

At this working farm you can wander around the stunning gardens, let the kids enjoy the Discovery Trail, feed chickens, tuck into homemade treats at Sprigs Café, and find the perfect gift at Sprigs Shop.

Jersey Seafaris

Jersey Seafaris operate a variety of tours by RIB boat, including to the Ecrehous, a small group of islands and rocks just six miles from Jersey. The area provides perfect opportunities for unique photos, swimming, paddle-boarding and picnics. On a typical trip you’ll cruise around the reef spotting birdlife, seals and, if you luck is on your side, you may even catch a glimpse of dolphins.

Valley Adventure Centre

Jersey Zoo

Jersey Zoo began as the first ever conservation-themed zoo and now, over 60 years later, Gerald Durrell’s animal haven is the natural place to discover some of the world’s most incredible creatures. Home to around 120 species of exotic animals, this is safe haven for many of the world’s most endangered creatures and many of the animals are captive bred for re-release to the wild. This beautiful 32-acre park offers incredible animal experiences, keeper talks, a children's playground and so much more.

Jersey Races

Les Landes hosts nine race meetings during the summer, so get together with family or friends for a great day out. There is a public bar, various food outlets and plenty of room if you wish to bring a picnic and take in the views of the picturesque coastal area of Grosnez in the north-west corner of the island.

EVieBike

Download the app, hire your electric bike and set off on your voyage of discovery. You’ll find lots of cycle-friendly routes and established trails the length and breadth of the island. The bikes are designed by islanders, for islanders who value striving towards a more sustainable, efficient transport system for the Channel Islands.

Royal Jersey Golf Club

This legendary 18-hole golf course has been part of island life for over 140 years. The Club has a rich history and is located on a wonderful part of the island with views of Mont Orgueil castle and the French coast beyond. Additional 18-hole courses can be found around the island, so why not tee up and play a round.

Jersey National Park

Jersey’s unique character of land and sea, coast and countryside unite in the Jersey National Park. The park aims to protect, conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage within its 2,145 designated hectares so that it can be appreciated and enjoyed by all. It’s a wonderful place to come together in the great outdoors and experience the wild side of the island break.

La Mare Wine Estate

Comprising of historic buildings and beautiful gardens; extensive vineyards and orchards; a winery, distillery & estate kitchens which produce an array of genuine Jersey produce. The estate is a fascinating combination of history and tradition. With acres of vines to explore, excellent wine tasting and distillery guided tours to join, as well as the beautiful Vineyard Café, La Mare is the perfect place to while away the day with a relaxing lunch, Jersey cream tea or a refreshing glass of wine by the vines.
